Tula Holmes

Last November, I spent the month in Scotland.

It was my first trip, and I was looking for my past as I began a new life single.Going it to Rossdhu and Luss was important for this beginning. When I arrived and learned that the Golf Club at Loch Lomond was too exclusive for visitors, as a true Colquhoun and not planning to give up, I began to walk along the Loch. I walked past the sheep in the fields, the bogs near the Loch, and across the fairways. It was as beautiful as I imagined. When I reached our home, I went to the pro shop, apologized for being a brazen yank, and told them the importance of my arrival, that it was really more of an important quest than a tourist visit. The manager was friendly, and toured me around. I was stunned to see that there were portraits on the wall of one of the dining rooms that looked exactly like my father, John Cahoon. My father was proud that his name was John Cahoon, as was his father, his son and his son’s son. It’s either heritage or a lack of creativity! We are Colquhoun’s. It must be heritage! It was a magical day, and for that one day, I was Lady Colquhoun. I was where I was supposed to be!

Happy search to you all.

Message from Webmaster: Although this worked for Tula, it is not recommended that any of you try this. Please remember that Rossdhu is private property, and you could be subject to arrest. We hope that in the future this will change but for now please respect the rules of the golf club.
