Been following your site and emails for some time now. Very interesting. Thought you might like to know we managed to gather almost 100 Irish "Colhouns" for a family get-together in July 2009. My mother was Kathleen Colhoun from Ballelaghan, Malin, Co. Donegal in Ireland. She was one of nine children and all the people in the group are the off-spring (and partners) from this family. The older is a photograph of her grandmother & grandfather taken around 1890. I don't know exactly when the family migrated from Scotland but most likely during the "Plantation of Ulster" in the early 1600's Best wishes Andy McCarter
